Magaluf family holidays are certainly on the menu, with numerous family holiday attractions situated in and around this Majorca Resort, plus Magaluf's great beach! Contrary to popular belief that Magaluf is restricted territory for clubbers and party goers, Magaluf Majorca makes a great family holiday choice. Why, because there's so much family entertainment clustered around these two Majorca resorts of Palmanova and Magalluf.
What's on offer, well loads. Two glorious Majorca family waterparks guaranteed to keep the kids happy all day, go-karting, paintballing, a classic Pirate Show in English, crazy golf galore near Palma Nova and how about a trip underwater on the Nemo Submarine. Not to mention the blue flag beaches and lots of watersports and you're away with your Majorca family holiday.
Waterparks are rather big business, and perfect entertainment for families, groups, couples and everyone with a bit of the kid in them. Magaluf doesn't disappoint in the water park department. Check out Aquapark Magaluf, a waterpark which offers a whole range of water rides, big and small, for tots and for urr the brave. There's a new ride here called Tornado, aptly named as you're powered by water through a circular tube, the idea being your move like a tornado. There's the Enchanted Castle shallow pool area for the tots - they'll love it. There's a mini pool as well for the younger ones, with little slides, mushroom umbrellas and giant frogs to climb.
Of the big rides choose from Boomerang where you get catapulted down one almost vertical waterslide slope in a two person dingy ring, then thrown up another opposite, urr like doing a giant V. At least you can do this one with a friend or partner. Hurtle down the Kamikaze slide and god knows how many miles an hour, have a race with your mates on the multi-lane slide or surf the upto 1 metre high waves on surf beach. The park itself is a very good size, and well equipped with ample parking facilities, toilets and lots of food outlets and a cafeteria area.
Opening hours are seasonal, from May 3rd to October 9th 2004, with gates opening May, June, September and October from 10 am to 5 pm. July and August, 10 am to 6 pm. Check the Waterpark's website (linked right) for details on entry prices.

Ok, are you ready for some serious go-karting in the Magaluf Sun. This track bills itself as the safest karting circuits in the world! They cover the range here, from young beginners to experts wanting to race and flex their go-karting muscles. There's a wee little circuit for mini-karts which is great for the tots, especially if it's your first time on a circuit accompanied by mum or dad.
They run events for groups here, which is great news for stag and hen parties, or holiday parties and corporate events. You can hire exclusive use of the whole complext, but it's not cheap. Check their web link for price details.

Here's a gooden. Hop aboard the Nemo 'submarine' (doesn't look like a submarine), and take a 20 minute boat trip out to the diving spot then spend 50 minutes underwater, in a vessel with portholes for viewing the underwater world. This really is an ace attraction, diving upto 20 metres for some fascinating seaworld watching including scholes of fish, strange divers generally acting ridiculous and the odd ship wreck!
Hey up, you get free coffee as well and free pick up by bus from most resorts! The website (link to the right) gives an excellent pre-taste of what the attraction is like, with lots of photos and videos of the dive underwater. Well worth a look!
It's not cheap, but it's certainly an experience, and something different on your holiday. Kids will love it. Check the Nemo website for price details. You can book online through the Nemo website before your holiday. Nemo doesn't dive on Sundays!
For more waterpark family fun check out Western Waterpark, their website is currently under development, as this is a pretty new waterpark.
This waterpark has a different angle, it combines water slide attractions with theme park attractions. What a good idea! There is also a number of predatory bird shows going on, a small animal farm, and green lawned areas to chill out in.
Find this Magaluf attraction at Western Park, Carretera Cala Figuera Sa Porrasa 12-22, 07182 Magaluf. Tel: +34 971 131 203
For that real Blackpool feel, check out the popular daily show 'Pirates Adventure' which is an English speaking show. The show blends west end show song style with circus and pantomime. Ultimate bit of kitsch this, who says there aren't any pantomimes in June?
Hey up, "the adventure takes place on a beautiful island situated in the cruising grounds of some of the most fearsome Pirates the world has ever known. Pirates were the scourge of the high seas, attacking and plundering the merchant vessels that transported passengers and slaves, then plied their wares between the busy sea ports of the seven oceans, if no merchants could be found they'd attack each other! Our tale surrounds one such motley band of pirate captains, joined together under the flag of Sir Henry Morgan, one of the most infamous pirates of them all." That'll give you a flavour of what it's all about!
Check out their website, there's a great kids section to get you in the mood. (link to the right)

Move up from Palma Nova to Portals Nous, where you'll find one of the most popular family attractions on Majorca, Marineland. The park is situated at Calvia Costa d'en Blanes beach. This park has been operating for many years and specialises in entertainment, education, research and interconnection with nature. The internationally awarded Dolphin Shows are the park's top attraction, along with the Sea Lion and Parrot Shows.
Again as far as we are aware, the answer is sadly no. During the show a number of small children are picked at random to be pulled around their pool in a small inflatable dinghy, but outside of the show times the public are not allowed access to these beautiful creatures. The park has it's very own wonderful and quite beach that can be accessed at any time of your visit, which is an added attraction to visitors wanting a change of scene on the beach front!

Access this beach along the motorway exiting at Palmanova or along regional road 719 to the Palmanova roundabout where you take the detour to Magaluf along the Avenida Cas Saboners, afterwards you continue along the Avenida Pere Vaquer Ramus to the Avenida de Magaluf where several streets open up to el Passeig Maritim de Magaluf (Boardwalk), next to which you find the beach.
