Accommodation in Playa d'en Bossa

Ibiza Tourism Guide - Playa d'en Bossa

Playa d'en Bossa Ibiza is fast becoming a renowned clubbing Ibiza holiday destination. It's got all the essentials, a great sandy Ibiza beach, perfect for Ibiza beach parties, plus it's close to Ibiza Town with it's great clothes shopping, Ibiza gay scene and Ibiza clubs, as well as a fair bit of Ibiza culture Dalt Villa style. Playa d'en Bossa is also known as Platja d'en Bossa, it's Catalan name, and is only a few kilometres south of Ibiza Town (Eivissa). Playa d'en Bossa is stylish and trendy, with great Ibiza party venues, plus the longest sandy beach on Ibiza.

Playa d'en Bossa is now Ibiza's third biggest town. For a cheaper clubbing option choose San Antonio, but if you fancy exploring an Ibiza resort with a newer and more evolving edge then Playa d'en Bossa is for you. It's fast becoming one of Ibiza's new party capitals, and the club scene here is revolving around the big Ibiza Club Space. (a whiff of monopoly perhaps!!) Space is fast cornering the 'market' for day and night clubbing. It's open all day from 8am, has an open air terrace and increasingly big DJ names on the menu. You can buy all day tickets to Space, but you only get one exit and re-entry with this!

Ibiza Clubs Playa d'en Bossa

Space, Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza. urr ever heard of it. Space is up there with Pasha/Ibiza Town, Paradiso/San Antonio and Amnesia and all those Ibiza club favourites. Space has been around for a while as well, building it's reputation for hosting big name DJs, and creating a superb Ibiza club atmosphere just adjacent to the fabulous and longest Ibiza beach at Playa d'en Bossa. Space opens every morning (except Monday) at 8 am with music in the Main Room. Space is located in Playa d'en Bossa just across the road from the beach, which is handy for sure. Playa d'en Bossa itself sits between Ibiza Town and the airport in the South of the island, so you're looking at quick and easy check in times here, getting you to that Ibiza beach and Ibiza club in double quick time! Playa d'en Bossa with it's long sandy beach and top Ibiza club has predominently young crowd in attendance these days, but it's good for families as well still. Expect a lively dance scene though in peak August season especially, so if you want to avoid this then Playa d'en Bossa isn't for you and try further up the East coast of Ibiza instead. Playa d?en Bossa is now an Ibiza resort which is very popular resort with clubbers. Music on Space's Terrace starts at 10 am. There's lots of great Ibiza accommodation now available in Playa d'en Bossa, to keep you close to the action. Choose from an array of self-catering apartments and hotels across the full price range, from cheap to luxury, and it's only 10 minutes drive from Ibiza Town and the harbour.

Space dress code, much like Ibiza itself, is 'anything goes', and whatever you feel comfortable dancing in is fine and dandy! Be aware that demand in August at Space is high and at some of the Opening and Closing parties they'll be a bit of a queue, but on the door they endeavour to get waiting times down to below 20 minutes. They have a wrist band system of entry working here. When you purchase your ticket either online or when you're there, you get a wrist band which lets you exit and reenter just once, then it gets cut off so plan you time there with care (you'll be needing a bit of a rest and a swim anyway!). Check the Space website for more details on ticket purchase and what you're entitled to.

Space opening party, Ibiza Club Summer 2005 kicks off on Sunday 5th June from 8am and just look at the DJ, big music names on the menu, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Tom Novy, Smokin Jo, Tim Sheridan, Voodoo and Serano, David Moreno, DJ Sin Plomo, Jon Ulysses, Jose de Divina, Juan Gomez, Oscar Colorado, Reche, and Susso. Not 'alf bad! You can buy tickets for this Ibiza Space opening party online at the Space website (check the link to the right), or pick one up there. Check the Space calendar for 2005 as well on the website for Summer 2005 Ibiza club news.

Space in Playa d'en Bossa has been around for quite a few years now, growing and evolving under the watchful eye of club shaper and ideas man Pepe Rosello, and the Space manager Fritz Pangratz who has been with this Ibiza club since 1992. They're still making changes for their faithful Space clubbers, including this year 2005 a redesign to several areas of the main room, plus a new members only terrace and a completely new Function One sound system. Amazing, when you think it all started on a car park in Playa d'en Bossa.

Playa d'en Bossa Ibiza Beach

Platja d'en Bossa, another popular Eivissa beach is about 700 metres of the 2,700 metre-long Platja d'en Bossa, that's 700 metres of it sitting in the Eivissa City borders, urr I think. A good sunbathing and swimming spot, with easy access from Ibiza Town and plenty of services like bars, restaurants and shops nearby. Good news if you've young kids in tow! There's quite a few watersports on offer as well, with the usual water rides, pedalos and so forth.

Platja d'en Bossa is a reasonable width as well at about 20 to 25 metres, so a bit of room to spread out, and it's good for inexperienced swimmers, or young children as the seabed is sandy and waters are relatively shallow at one metre depth, 50 metres from the shoreline. It's on the east side of Ibiza Town this beach so it gets a bit of wind, which is probably welcome in the mid-day heat! Watch the currents though from the south, which come in conjunction with those winds.
