Air conditioning in your Mallorca apartment or Menorca Hotel might not be something you immediately think of when booking on a cold winters day in the UK. However, you'll be glad you've got it when you're in Majorca in July or August when Majorcan temperatures can rocket upto the mid 40s!
Most 3 star Majorca hotels and above have air conditioning now as standard, and even below the 3 star mark it's usual for hotels and aparthotels to have it. However, double check when booking self catering apartments as these sometimes don't have air conditioning, and may instead just have a ceiling fan or nothing at all.
During the summer months the mosquitos are rather prevalent, so having and airconditioned room or apartment where you can shut your windows, keep the mosquitos out and still be nice and cool is certainly a bonus! Nights are hot hot hot in the peak summer months - you're certainly more sure to get a better nights sleep if you have air conditioning! It's an issue always worth checking when booking.
